@elfhermie It's the Arrows (not Arrow) who wrote the song. Without them there would be no song "I love rock n roll"- It wouldn't exist. Boardwalk records expert promotional team "propelled" Joan Jett to stardom in 1981. Joan Jett had already released a flop version of the song in 1979. People think hits happen by magic. It takes lots of money and promotion to make a number one record. No magic is involved. The late Neil Bogart of Boardwalk is the biggest star of the song. He made it happen.

@ROCKSTARxoxxo That's a dumb thing to say. Joan Jett's version is itself a cover of Arrow's original. And yet, that's the song that propelled her to stardom and is more associated with her now than Arrow. Miley's just singing songs that she likes in concert which is cool. Also, she's written plenty of original songs on her albums. I guess you're just not a fan of hers which is fine, but your reasoning here is not very logical. Tons of artists cover classic songs in concert.
