Wish I had found you sooner Puppetji. Gotta agree with you great puppet that the wanting comes from ego that get us no where, yet maybe the secret works if we can make our intention from our true immortal omni self by saying that our intention is to turn our intention over to the Source, the Universe, or God or whatever you want to call it and ask for guidance in finding our best path for serving others, which is our overall life purpose. I'm looking for more from you Puppetji and thanks! Dean

So, where does the ego come from and why have it if it doesnt matter?

the ego started out as a method of allowing the One Consciousness to have individual, independent, free-willed portions of itself to allow it to experience itself both objectively AND subjectively. over time, and with less and less (perceived) connection to the Source, the ego became layered with judgments about itself and the others around it. we have polluted the original ego to the point of self-destruction, which is why people are trying to remove the dependence on it these days, reconnect
