I personally believe your jigs are amateurishly tied. Which doesnt mean they dont work. When it comes to midges its an old story. Midges are trout food all year round. And the ones you tie are called zebra midge. You will also find them as chironomids if fishing stillwater. All it is its a thread on a hook with a wire, takes one minute to tie.
