This short video clip investigates Romans 14:14, in order to determine its meaning by asking the question, "Is nothing unclean of itself?"

  • i think the problem is when you think that God meant unhealty by unclean foods. First the foods were unclean to the Jews, and its what seperated them from the other nations who ate everything. This is done away with in Christ where there is neither Jew or Greek but a new man. Unfortanetly Seventh day adventists take alot of things out of context. In the end they are neither Jew , Gentile or a new man in Christ.

  • @j75j89 I am not a Seventh Day Adventist.

The bible does not say that God sanctified certain food just for the Jews. Also, the bible is clear (Romans 11:13, 17, 18) that believers are grafted into the existing olive tree, we are not some different group.

The purpose of this video is to show that there were three categories of food, clean, unclean and common and that Romans 14:14 is referring specifically to common foods and is not saying that there are no unclean foods.

  • @eiffuy From what I can get from this video your saying that there are still unclean food items that we as children of God should stay away from, but in Matthew 15:11 didn't Jesus say "What goes into a man's mouth does not make him unclean, but what comes out of his mouth, that is what makes him 'unclean". Also if you go on to read in Acts10:15 the angel said to Peter; "What God hat cleansed, that call not common." I think this speaks about praying over your food and giving God thanks for it.

  • @smokeyscale777 Thanks for your comment. There will be future videos that address your questions. A few quick answers:

    1. in Matt 15:11 Jesus is referring to the ritual of hand/pot washing before eating, not what the jews ate, which wold have been "clean" foods anyways.

    2. in Act 10:15 the thing that God cleansed was people, not things that were never intended to be food.

    3. You can't just pray over something unclean and make it clean, that is not biblical.

  • This is a really good video. Its a shame most believers do not want to hear this stuff.

  • @j75j89 you are not making the kingdom

  • Very educational facts. Thanks be blessed

  • Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. Apparently some of the words of God are the dietary laws.

  • @j75j89 Messiah said that until Heaven and Earth pass, not one Jot or tittle will pass from Torah (Matt 5:17-19). I just looked outside... Earth is still here.
