This earlier prehistoric model has some noticeable differences from the later ones: The agitation and spin speed are slower due to a smaller motor pulley that was used on early models. Also note the pre-pump solenoid that allows for a neutral drain before spin. What this solenoid does is release the tension from the idler arm then once disengaged, it then spins.

  • Does the drum index at all during the wash/rinse cycle?

  • Yes it does, but not very strong, I know it's a little hard to tell in the vid.

  • @eddy1210I find that the agitation with the blue agitator was way better than the with one. Am I correct?

  • @frezzalata The blue one was much better, you are right!

  • Nice double agitator. Does the straight vane agitator belong to Westinghouse or Frigidaire?

Eddy, now you have not 3 but 4 new agitators. If you remove the superior part of straight vane agitator you gets a new agitator. Enjoy.

  • That's true Rodrigo. The straight vane agitator belongs to the Westinghouse. Even the 5 vane agitator in my White Westy fits this too.
