I agree to an extent but most warmongers want natural resources, liebensraum etc, for more than just themselves but for their populations - they kind of develop the guru/disciple cult relationship between themselves as Emperor/Fuhrer/King and their subjects - So Nazism - which was a Nordic-based cult with a Futuristic PErfect Human twsit, or Communism with Perfect Worker Ant Colony society model - would use religion (I think ideologies are religion too) and science to chase the good stuff.

I disagree ... while religion, national honor and/or implied threat are most often used to whip a population up in the sort of frenzy required to get them to dehumanize a potential enemy, it is most often money, natural resources and/or territorial conquest that is the real goal of a waring nation ... I could support this argument for nearly any conflict you can name ...
