  • Nice playing man! I really enjoyed it!! What kind of strings do u recommend and use on your guitar that are good for bluegrass? And another question... Do you have any videos that are like banjo lessons for beginners? I just bought a banjo this week and I'm wanting to learn off Internet and I need to find some lessons that explains like how all the rolls work and how you put it all together and stuff like that.

  • @mckinneywes Hey bud! I personally use Elixir mediums, but there are several great strings out there. I also really like the D'Addario strings :) On the website, I have LOTS of beginner banjo stuff that will get you going. I have a whole 30 minute video lesson that talks specifically about how to apply your right hand rolls and mix and match them. I have lots of other beginner vids as well. I'd be honored to have you on board!

  • @edonotokyo Ummm....no?

  • Not trying to be mean, but you talk to much BanjoBen. More teaching less talking, also slow down and add some tabs...

  • @ugee467 I don't think you're mean :) Tabs are available by following the link in the description. Thanks for watching!

  • Ben you da' man ! Thanks for sharing your politics, your music and those " low tech" Tabs ! LOL

Keep at it brother ben the picker man !

Oh, and seeings how it is 2012 and an election year, can we expect another swimmingly appropriate lesson ? say " Shall we gather at the river", or maybe that Roy Clarke fav " Thank God and Greyhoud he's Gone' ? ;)

  • How can someone dislike this... Awesome video.

  • Brother Ben, the "currently" low-tech, highly skilled, God blessed guitar brother from another mother!!! I appreciate your lessons, and if I could get a lesson on "will the circle be unbroken," that'd help me so I could play it in front of the church congregation! Look forward to all your lessons! Thnx Andy in brown county IN.

P.S. I imagine you're very busy, so if you don't have time I understand.

  • Too much zazz. I wanna play it light Mississippi john Hurt played it :)

  • Great playing!

  • @sirbowlyn Man my familey is to i lived out on 10 16

  • Do you have any videos on right hand technique?

  • Dude, it's so awesome watching this video(when you didnt have a website and used a webcam) to your more recent vids(with a site and a HQ camera). Really cool seeing how you've progressed and the fact that you're still doing free YouTube lessons. Right on, man!
