  • What is interesting is that he's speaking the lebanese dialect fluently with some arabic (this is typical for people who are not completely fluent in arabic), but he seems to stumble a lot and he does not sound nearly as smart as when he speaks english..

  • he's saying that government should prevent banks form lending people and businesses, therefore completely eliminating debt. She asked him if it's possible to have growth without lending and he surprisingly said yes. He said that people in Leventine have historically avoided debt and that Islamic Financial type of law is not a bad idea.

  • forgot french! He studied over there and French is one of Lebanon official language! Also aramaic

  • Taleb speaks greek, english, arabic, italian , german, and more. The guy is a total genius

  • maybe some enterprising individual could offer up a translation into English for us non-Arabic speakers

    Anyway, I am so happy that Taleb is one of the most listened to people now around the World nowadays. Nevertheless, I am still making up my mind regarding the importance of credit in today's economy. The reason why certain Western and Asian markets have seen such a boom in the last two or three decades, was mainly thanks to Credit creation. Yes that creates a bubble, but..
