First Tattoo

I got a small Om tattoo on my left shoulder blade. There was no pain, just more annoying than anything else. My friend took the video because i thought i'd have a crazy reaction.....but obviously not.

it felt just like a little scratching. i have a bird with sharp nails, and it felt like he was sliding down my back or something. I am VERY good with needles and IVS. I think the pain all depends on the position of the tattoo though. Also, i over-hyped myself and thought it was going to hurt soooo bad. And then i was relieved when it wasn't bad at all...

I'm sure if you went in though not thinking it would hurt, you'd think it'd hurt a bit more than i did. Anyway, the feeling of it is more annoying than painful :)

I got a tribal on my shoulder and it hurt like a bitch. It all depends on where you get it. That part on the back isnt that bad

To everyone asking if it hurts: From experience it depends where you get . The wrists, neck, feet, rib cage, and spine are the worst spots and hurt the most (anyone correct me if I miss anything.) I got my first ever tat on my wrist, it hurt, I didn't cry but I will admit it hurt like hell. For me in my opinon, it feels like someone is taking a thumb tack and scraping it against bad sun burn, hope this helped! :)

My mom told me that it'll hurt a lot, and she has three tattoo's.. But honestly, the difference between her and I are our pain tolerance level's. I'm looking forward to getting my tattoo on my left shoulder blade next Saturday; my eighteenth birthday.

I'm glad to see that it wouldn't hurt so bad, even tho everyone's pain tolerance level is different. I'm so psyched! :D

I just got one (my mom's name) in pretty much the exact same area, only on the right side. It's not painless, but it hurts way less than you think it will, honestly. The worst part is when you're in the chair, right before the tattoo artist gets started, because that's when you start to panic and start imagining really bad pain and all the worst-case scenarios. Once they get started, you feel silly that you thought it would hurt so badly.

im 15 and i just got a peace dove tattoo with a name, but to be honest it doesnt even hurt intill they hit the bone then it hurts. but it feels like a really hot needle going down ur skin. and i didnt get use to it i just put up with the pain and mine took like 30 min? just saying

@mercedez92410 tattoos feel a whole lot different. i think if you can go through piercing your own body you'll be fine, its more like it burns

@tiannathompson15 i hate needles and i got a fairly big tattoo on the same side as alishaaa1192 it doesn't feel anything like a needle. i'd rather get a tattoo than get anything involving needles.
