Scotch TENDS? to be made in Scotland? Sort of like how Cuban cigars TEND to come from Cuba.

"People don't really drink vodka that often unless they're having a martini" No... people don't drink vodka straight that often unless they're ignorant as fuck and drink vodka in their martinis as opposed to Gin. Would you call it a Martini if somebody asked for Whiskey and Vermouth garnished with an olive? No? Then don't call it a martini when it's done with Vodka.

Semi-educated indeed, there is of course a difference between whiskeys and whiskies and bourbon and all that regionist crap :p but the "opposite" of blended whisky is single malt whisky. Blended whiskies exist in Scotland and blended whiskeys exist in Japan. Single malt whiskeys exist in Scotland and single malt whiskeys exist in Japan. The difference is the region and the sort. Get the info right.

@StrongDadGh Any Rum made in America is garbage. Mt. Gay and Appleton is the only white rum worth drinking.

Cognac and brandy are so similar because cognac is brandy, it comes from the Cognac region of France. How does Expert Village find so many people who are only semi-educated.
