I attempt to play 8 bars of some jazz through a Seymour Duncan Jazz pickup directly into a Kustom '36 Coupe Guitar Combo Amp's Rhythm channel. Then I flick the switch to the Lead channel and do a quick 12 bars of some rock and roll through a Seymour Duncan JB trembucker.

The dude who engineered this amp also engineered the Peavey Eddie Van Halen 5150 and the Joe Satriani JSX.

Per usual add: &fmt=18 to the URL for better sound quality.

  • Very cool amp man :-)

  • Thanks.

  • Wow, sounds kickass!

The lead channel has that warm, crispy and squeaky tube sound that we are all after.

  • Thanks. I like the idea that the engineer that designed it has a pretty good track record with amps.

  • COOL MAN how much was the amp?

  • A couple hundred less than the current price at MF.

  • Marshall MG's and Line 6 Spiders have horrible tone. I'd look into getting a nice tube combo instead.

  • dude i just got laney amp.. and it's very good quality

  • What a versatile amp it does clean very exceptional. I couldn't bring myself to buy a lovely Fender Deluxe RI at its price point after seeing all the Kustom Coupe vids. There retro hip and sound great all on their own. Even the Kustom Defender 50w sounds killer at 500 bucks.

  • my next amp.... @Svet69 You are so damn right!!! That souds KICKASS!

  • hi what guitar is that why is the headstock so dark? very cool! This amp sounds awesome!

  • just tried this amp today and with a good overdrive pedal this amp will kick you in the face (in a good way)

  • I agree with you, Laney tube amps use to sound good but aren't really reliable. It's a shame. I think these feature some cheap components to remain affordable. I've a VC50 I never stoped to repair and upgrade. After five years it's now a very good and great sounding amp. I'm sorry if my English is not that good.

  • I have the bigger version of this amp, and it rocks - great overdrive/distortion channel (depending on how you dial it in)

  • You can hear the differencee in first act with those amplifiers. Real Marshall starting at 3000$ and getting higher. The rest of Marshall's only little bit similiar too good Marshalls but sounds digital and plastic :)

  • MG Series Amps are piece of shit! Avoid it :)

  • hahha, i new that man. i didnt know if it could handle a pedal soo strong, while this is soo small. and I broke my collar bone, and i cant play a damn thing now... :/

  • Good amp brand...hope you enjoy it. :)
