Berkeley Unified School District's former Chef Ann Cooper explains the District's Universal Breakfast Program and the quality of the food that is free to all BUSD students every day. Chef Ann has been the Director of Nutrition Services for the past four years. She has moved on to Bolder Colorado public schools to continue in her mission to change the way people think about school lunches.
The Board and the District's vision, with the "School Lunch Initiative" and with the BUSD's Integrated Policies, from Nutrition to Physical Fitness were what brought Ann Cooper to Berkeley.
That vision continues under the direction of Marni Posey, who has participated, first in the development of the vision and than it's implementation with Chef Ann these past four years.
Marni Posey has been the Manager of Nutrition Services
since 2005. She first joined BUSD Nutrition Services in 2001 as a Field Operations Supervisor, and she has worked hard for the role of Director of Nutrition Services.
