Fundamentalism isn't particularly identified with belief in the Rapture. The vast majority of those who are fundamentalists don't believe in the Rapture. The actual groups who do are called premillennialists and dispensationalists. Both groups are more identified with subgroups of older mainline churches than with fundamentalism. The concept predates modern American fundamentalism.
