60163 - The Cumbrian Mountain Tornado - 10/10/09

A1, 60163, 'Tornado' on her third outing over the Settle & Carlisle line seen at Kirkby Thore. The return journey was made via Shap and she is seen just past the summit in the gathering gloom.

Excellent videos, love the setting the scene, well done, but surely Tornado needs better valve settings, she sounds quite sick for a three cylinder with three sets of valve gear, fine for an A4 to sound like that, sounds like one cylinder is doing much more work at one end of the stroke and not much at the other.

Excellent footage, nice steady picture ( taken on a tripod I presume). Does justice to the graceful lines of the A1s when she passes by in the 2nd half of this video. Splendid!

I've noticed that there seem to have been one or two technical matters lately, with it not making any difference on some whether you click 'HQ' or 'HD' or not. It's probably something at Yotube's end, I expect.
