Brookgreen Gardens is a sculpture garden, botantical garden, and wildlife preserve just south of Myrtle Beach South Carolina.
Brookgreen is one of the secret treasures of the South Carolina coast. Visit during the spring when the Azaleas are blooming and it will simply take your breath away.
Brookgeen Gardens is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and designated a National Historic Landmark
About 550 works of American figurative sculpture are displayed at the outdoor Sculpture Garden and in the unique galleries. There are boat tours to Sandy Island and a self-guided tour nature trail to show off the 2000 identified species of life, including majestic longleaf pines, Spanish moss draped live oaks, and vistas of the river and nearby marshland and hundreds of flowering plants.
Take a side trip to Brookgreen during your visit to Myrtle Beach. You'll be impressed!
