i swear this happened to me right after the Toyota problems. not even a full month later. My dad has a ford courier and dropped a pacer motor in. My first run i put down a 11 sec, but the spring on the throttle broke when i let off. I have NEVER been scared in a car till then. i slammed down the clutch and hit the kill switch. However i was still going to fast, and without the engine to slow me, i went off the track into the grass and ripped off the bumper. Now my dad wont let me drive it.

most kill switches are at the back of the car, bu you should have a keyless ignition with a car like that, the car we race is a 70 mustang and the ignition circuit is on a toggle on the dash, and the kill switch for the car is at the rear

Kill switch is a must in cars like that. Most tracks make you have them if you run certain times.

umm...just hit the switch next time to shut it down insted of blowing up a 30k motor
This video is fake, Toyota never made Corvettes and i can prove with the internet.

Holy hell. Having had my fair time on the strip, that would scare the hell out of me. But he did the right thing, drop neutral and blow the motor.
