Welcome To Flyinge

Flyinge is one of the world's oldest stud which is still in operation. Published in 1661 became Flyinge royal stud, but there have been horses here as early as the 1100's.
It is a stunning beautiful farm where ancient meets ultra-modern buildings, with CLOP storks on roofs and stately horses in stalls. Flyinge is a smoke-free facility and smoking is only allowed outside the entrance to the restaurant and behind the Education Building.

~Visit Us~
You are welcome here every day between 9-16 to enjoy the environment, admire the horses, watch the storks, have a picnic in the park and experience the history.
Want guide during your visit you book it in advance.
During the summer we also have open tours. Do you want to stay overnight, there are overnight opportunity during the summer to freshen Flyinge Dormitory.

~Breeding & Stud~
Flyinge main task is to provide its farmers with good breeding stallions. Twenty own or leased stallions included in the stallion program. Stuteriet consists of high-quality breeding mares and a number of young horses, preferably staying in the works, and loose housing up to the age of three. The best individuals are used in breeding, the other trained school, racing and sales.
Flyinge is well endowed with high-class stallions with a good international reputation, both in breeding and sport. Through an extensive breeding program cooperates with the stud Flyinge worldwide.

~Training~
The school includes about 150 students in four different programs. In collaboration with the Swedish Agricultural University, there is the perennial Hippologprogrammet and in cooperation with Lund organized tailor Hippologigymnasiet.
Within Ehrengranatakademin can talented young rider scholarship search, and intensive practice his special talents under the guidance of one of the head coaches in the various disciplines. There is also a quality education focused on the young horses and trainers in the January 2009 start, a copyright law education at Flyinge. All Flyinge courses have open house in connection with the Flying Days.
The plant is well suited for teaching, here are four riding stables, stables and loose housing for about 200 horses, utebanor and training barriers for conditioning and technique training. Flyinge also has the only special library for horse-related literature, a daughter library to SLU library.

~Special Events~
The year begins in February with the use test for three-to five-year stallions. There will be competitions in various forms during the year. First out is the colt races in May where the best young horses are competing in dressage. In August, it is time for the popular national jumps races in beautiful Obstacles Hagen.
In early October, we reiterate the success of our great competition - Flyinge International Dressage Show - CDI ***.

Hardly has the last horse of the competition left the dressage arena until it is time for the next event - the Swedish Breeding and Sport Champion with the Breeder's Trophy, in which Sweden's best young horses competing in dressage and jumping.
Flying Days of the end of the year is a nearly 100-year tradition. Then it's open house on the entire Flyinge with lots of activities for both small and large, before the spectacular horse show begins. A horse-fest for the whole family!
