  • Look at Moorer making excuses that Foreman got lucky.

Foreman didn't get lucky. He won fair and square and knocked the hell out of Moorer.

  • @Frozenhope I don't think Big George had any illusions of out hustling a younger, fresher, (and most importantly) faster champion. He was never a crafty or elusive fighter, but he understood the psychology of boxing enough to know that Moorer had something to prove after getting little credit for beating Holyfield, which meant taking the best that George had to offer and trying to knock him out. Unfortunately, Moorer was blinded by his need for validation.

  • It's like Ali said, "Man, this is the wrong place to get tired." And Foreman had a lot to do with making Moore get tired with those body shots and all.

Power is the last thing to go as a fighter ages. He used the tools he had and he got the job done. For Moore to say he didn't have a plan is silly. If he hadn't planned, he would have just threw everything in the first round and hoped for the best.

  • @Tbaldwin1971 Yeah I have to admit that both McCall and Rahman were lucky with Lennox Lewis, they got lucky shots. But just like Michael Moorer, Lennox was an idiot to let that happen to him...

George wasn't lucky, its just that Moorer was an idiot to have tried to brawl with a guy whose punches are like nukes...

  • @truebeliever786 Yeah I agree, Moorer was dumb to not just see the fight out and retain his belt but that doesnt change the fact that Joe was lucky. Glad we are in agreement.Although Buster didnt get luck with Tyson, in fact I disagree with the other examples you gave. The other fighter werent just punch bags for 9 rounds.Lucky like Oliver Mcall against Lewis.

  • @Tbaldwin1971 Yeah Foreman got lucky, just like Buster Douglas got lucky with Mike Tyson, Ali got lucky with Sonny Liston and Foreman, Max Schmeling got lucky for Joe Louis...

Yeah well its Michael Moorer's fault for being a dumbass and ruining his undefeated record by standing in front of the deadly punching Foreman, he has no one but himself to blame, it wasn't luck, it was Foreman's devastating punching power which won him the fight, despite his old age...

  • Foreman planned that type of fight??? NO Way! Moorer was right in everything he said.

  • @truebeliever786 You have no idea. Moorer was knocking crap out of Foreman and Foreman got LUCKY. Did you watch the fight? Excuses?? He didnt make any excuse. He was stating fact that all he needed to do for the last 9 mins was hit and move. Judges had Moorer up on all the cards. Its odd to say that Foreman wasnt lucky. He was luckt that Moorer decided to stand in front of him.

  • @PacoZola Foreman specifically told Lampley BEFORE the fight what was going to happen. Then it did, and you (and Moorer) say "he didn't plan it". Bullshit. Obviously he planned it or he wouldn't have predicted it.

  • michael moorer u are a asshole with no respect u fucking looser!

  • that's bullshit that he's ain't fast, he was fast even in 90s.

  • There is no luck in a fight mike
