Stopping by to pay me respects to the memory of POCHO: a descendant

of the great dinosaurs that once roamed the Earth, and Mr Chito who is probably

the only man in recorded history to befriend a killer croc.

Their friendship is the stuff of legends and they will live forever in You Tube lore.

Thank God that Poncho passed on in his old age grace. So thankful that he got to spend his days in total freedom while being embraced by the profound love of his hero and best friend. Enjoy your new paradise Poncho.

He was not abused whoever said that! He was like over 20 years old they don't live that long for no reason and of course they don't live as long in captivity but its not due to abuse.

He did not die of abuse.

I also give thumbs up to Chito because he took in a disabled animal.

Not too many people out there would actually take the time to care for one like this.

An animal behaviorist said Pocho was mentally retarded due to being shot in the head. (I hate poachers!)

Yet Chito loved him unconditionally.

I was sad to hear of Pocho's passing.

Crocodiles have always been amazing animals and I have a lot of respect for them.

The case of Chito and Pocho, beyond giving anybody a reason to post stupid comments on the web, shook the ground on wich thousands of scientists stated a crocodile could never be domesticated. Pocho was not tamed or beaten. Chito rescued him, gave him shelter and got in contact with the animal, who became docile as a dog and never hurted anybody. The only other case where I new something similar happened was with Bart the bear in US.
