  • Tell us more about yourself, dennis.

  • This video kind of summarised many views held by a certain French philosopher... Which one, one might ask? That's for you to find out ;-)

  • A heard a preacher once say that no one has to teach their kids how to lie. They do have to be taught the social graces ('yes sir' 'yes ma'am' 'no sir' 'no ma'am' 'please' 'thank you' 'you're welcome').

  • You do not have to teach a child to be bad.(they are ready know)

YOU do have to teach a child to be GOOD.

When does the 'free will' of a child who is inherently 'bad' (self centered)change to EVIL?

and does human nature ever "really" become good?

  • I am one of those who thinks people are "basically good", but that has to do with my rather liberal definition of "good".

I don't disagree with any of your examples, but I do think all people are born with a certain amount of empathy. Selfishness too, yes. But I think that while altruism is always good, self-interest is not necessarily always bad. It can coexist with altruism.

  • Clearly you do not understand the reasons babies cry. They are trying to tell you something. They are trying to tell you that they are hungry, need to be changed, or yes even held. You really just blew your ridiculous theroy out if the water. Any good mother and father know this. I am glad I was not one of your children

  • @ShishirYerramilli The black plague led to the birth of the middle class in europe.

  • @powpanda Great logic genius! If we extrapolate your thesis , I guess we should "stop hating" on the Black Plague ,Chairman,Stalin and Hitler as well!

  • Stop hating on Ghengis Khan. He was a great conqueror. He did a lot to reduce world population. Without him the world population would be 100 trillion by now.
