Franciscan monk William of Baskerville and his novice Adso of Melk (narrating as an old man) arrive at a Benedictine abbey where a mysterious death has occurred ahead of an important Church conference. William, known for his deductive and analytic mind, confronts the worried Abbot and gains permission to investigate the death a young illuminator appears to have committed suicide. Over the next few days, several other bizarre deaths occur, and the two discover that not everything is what it seems in the abbey.

So richtig zum Träumen dieser Sound.

Eigentlich ist ja der ganze Film ein Meisterwerk das seinesgleichen sucht.

Also der der Ausdruck "Krank" von weiter unten deutet auf einen egozentrischen Einzeller hin.

Schade dass solche überhaupt irdgendwelche Sachen hinkritzeln dürfen..

This is awe inspiring. The film is also fabulous - one of my favorites. It really explores the shift from the medieval world drama to the eventual Renaissance, where reason and observation replaced faith and revelation.

I have watched this film several times. Die musik creates such atmosphere. Die kalte landschaft. You can feel it. Geheimlich und auch schuen. Wonderful music. Love it.
