was it hard building it this small and can they be built even smaller?
-
but you did a good job adding all in a capacitator like a core.
-
you must put the motors more flat for speed.

Thats terrific!
Are those solar cells wires in series or paralell? I have a little bag of them and want to build a tiny photovore. Also, what are you using on the motor shafts for traction? My robots always have trouble gripping the ground.

in this case all cells are in series (to get around 3V). to get a good traction i prefer a tiny drop of hotglue on the motoraxis, diameter 1-1,5mm. i never use isolations from wires like others do, cos that gives not the best grip (but looks cool, sometimes ;) )

That could easily fit on a U.S. Quarter!

by the way, i'm travelling for the next 3 weeks, so please don't be surprised, if there is no response on comments/postings.

That is really neat; is it a 1381 based solar engine or a Fred?

it's a double-FLED, with special mods ;)
