I was there, probably the best of the 10 or 12 MK gigs I attended. 16th of october in Lille was maybe better, but shorter because he was a support act of Dylan (just a 70 minutes gig)

knopfler allowed video recording up to 2008 .

after that there were to many people filming wich annoyed other fans so knopfler decided to change the policy,

audio is still allowed..

I think this song is kind of a true story about two English surveyors coming to America, plotting boundaries between some of the middle states along the east. Later these became part of the Mason-Dixon Line. Tasty little Knopfler song which only his treatment can deliver properly. A subtle song of optimism and character.

This is one of the prettiest songs I've ever come across, once you get it under your skin, there's no chance in hopping hell that you'll ever forget it. If you play guitar you cant help trying it yourself. IMO Mark was never a rocker, slow & quiet pieces with lots of space is where he really excels.
