Globalization - there are way more options of things to ppl to see as far as shows. 2. reality shows - reality shows have diminished the talent pool that used to exist that garnered star power. 3. political correctness (all that needs to be said on that). 4. public expectation - when people find movie characters like Madea as the hottest thing, it goes to show you that less than stellar performance is acceptable to the consensus.
