Cooke Contemporary Furniture was born by chance and prevails with high demand, quality and style. In 2006, engineer, designer and entrepreneur David Cooke was searching in vain for a high quality fire pit table as an addition to an outdoor living area. When his search turned up nothing, the mechanical engineer was inspired to create his own fire pit table that showcased the natural beauty of the earth with the granite he loved. Coupled with an artistic background, David was able to create a fire pit with both substance and impeccable style.

Raised in the foothills of the High Sierra Mountains David grew up surrounded by the natural beauty you can see echoed in much of his work. At a young age the hyperactive little boy with an inquisitive mind always had to know exactly how everything worked. Naturally, this often required immediate disassembly. Clearly, an engineering mind with a unique flair for fire was a solid foundation for his passion for creating fire pit tables. Today, David has turned his talent into what we now know as Cooke Contemporary Furniture.

Each custom fire pit table is manufactured in California to your exact specifications and assembled with care by the designer.
