Stickler -- Splitting 2 of 2

Here I`m splitting some more ash. This wood isnt entirely dry yet and its giving me some trouble due to the stringy-ness of the wood.

Thanks for p;osting this. I had wondered about making a free standing version of one of these with it's own engine mounted on my logging trailer, but watching this vid, it seems that with gloves on (which might get caught) it looks like an accident wating to happpen. I'm not so sure now. It is also a lot slower in operation than I thought, but I guess if it was too fast it maybe would not bite into the wood? But it is a nice simple way of doing things if time is not an issue.

By the time I got eight cord split up with this I be in the hospital with a broken back and it would be spring..Gives new meaning to the term "painfully slow"

I've had one for over twenty years but mount it on driver's side. You must have this rig in reverse, eh?

I've used one of these for years. Cheap, efficient.  they are only as dangerous as you let them be.
