funny anime: Ghost Stories

Here is a really funny anime for you guys to watch. Its called Ghost Stories and its one of the funniest dubs I've ever heard. The original version was more serious and intended to be scary. But it failed in japan so when it got licensed for an english dub by ADV, the creators allowed them to do what ever they wanted with the script so it would sell, with the only requirement being that they keep the original plot and names of the characters. And let me just say that it was for the better. This dub is just hilarious and way over the top. Its like the anime version of scary movie. The creators even approved the changes. I haven't seen the original but I don't really care. I'm just fine with this version. There are links for you to download every episode individually. But if you like this anime then you should buy the DVDs afterward to support our anime industry so we can continue to have good anime like Ghost Stories.

@youweon The anime wasnt popular in japan so they gave it to funimation and said they could do whatever they wanted with it except change how the ghosts are sealed away and such. And thus we ended up with a really funny anime XD

@remboy3000 Its called a gag dub where the original script is replaced with a comedic one. Have you ever seen yugioh the abridged series or DBZ abridged? Those are gag dubs as well.
