For every step I made I took a photograph, then I turned the image sequence into a video. This is the result.

I started at Somerset House on the Strand, went across Waterloo bridge, along South Bank to Blackfriar's bridge, past the Tate Modern gallery, across the Millenium bridge to St Paul's Cathedral.

I used an Olympus Pen E-PL1 camera. The first half I used a zuiko 14-42mm lens, and from Blackfriar's to St Paul's I used a Panasonic Lumix 20mm pancake lens.

  • Wow! Beautiful! Not familiar with how the pen is setup but was the aperture and focus on manual... just curious as to what your settings were

  • @anmlsasldrs Thanks! As this was my first attempt I left all the settings [shutter, aperture and focusing] on auto.

  • Great piece of cinematography..love it

  • @cyrusbob1 thanks!

  • Amazing video, love the end when you cross the bridge. I bet people were giving you some weird looks too.

  • @camelface1 Ha, thanks! Yep. I got quite a few strange looks there. Though I was stared at more across South Bank as more people were standing around. On Waterloo bridge they rushed passed me.

  • What a fantastic video, great music choice, it all works so well together, it feels like everyone's rushing around, but at the same time it's so beautiful colourful, and futuristic. Great work

  • Wow this is interesting.. sometimes I don’t understand how interesting videos just don’t get as many views as some other mediocre videos...

  • Hot damn!

  • Amazing! very creative...

but on the end I got a little bit nauseous hahah!

  • Brilliant! Loved every second of it. I'm also curious how many pictures made it into the final cut.

  • You have some skills there mate, i enjoyed watching the entire video, thank you :D

  • That was very, very cool. I love movement in time lapse but I've never seen anything like that before. Impressive concept! Great work.

  • How many pictures did you use?

    AWESOME btw!

  • Stunning, great work!

  • Excellent video! What's the song called?

  • this is really amazing, did you handhold the camera, if so how did you do it, my handheld night shots usually come out blurred unless put the camera on something like a wall or a railing or use the flash

  • Love the video! I'd just like to know how you managed to keep the camera so steady, for the most part the images are smooth, did you use a tripod or just have the strap around your neck? I'm hoping to do something like this for a college project so would be a great help! thanks :)
