THIS PROJECT / VIDEO TUTORIAL WAS CREATED A WHILE BACK WHEN I WAS NOT AS EXPERIENCED IN AFTER EFFECTS. CHECK OUT MY EXCLUSIVE AE ANIMATION PORTFOLIO HERE TO SEE RECENT WORKS AND TOP QUALITY:

In this video tutorial, I will be showing you how to create a cinematic space intro animation using Adobe After Effects. This is a very basic video animation. I pre-rendered the background scene of the animation so all you need to do is create/animate your custom text, then apply the pre-rendered video behind the text!

Now you can create the intro in almost any video editing software including Sony Vegas, Final Cut Studio, etc.

Here is the project file included for this video tutorial: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?mjqmjo0l5kg

The pre-rendered video is in HD Quicktime Movie format [.mov]
1280x720
30 fps
720P

There are two versions, the .wmv format, which is more compressed and the .mov version.

  • Hello,

Do you have any tutorials for a thunderstorm intro? I need a lightning strike and heavy rain. Very new to Adobe; I have cs3. Thanks.

    Your videos are great.

  • @johanfisher I don't quite have something exactly like that, but check out my STORM tutorial, it's somewhat like your description. You may need to modify it a bit and use the "Lightning" plugin in AE (: Thanks!

  • how do i just add a song to a intro in Adobe After Effects cs5

  • @H4CK3RHD Import it and drag it under everything in the timeline

  • So, the project file, can you use that to take this and edt it to put in your own text?

  • @mjschemicalromance Yep! easy !

  • @OpticaIIIusion Thank you!

  • Thanks for the tutorial, I feel so stupid, I own after effects, and I didn't even know there were transitions, I just thought you had to be really crazy at masking... I once spent 7 minutes just tring to do a transition for a paragraph of words... never again.

    Thank you!
