To variablast, I will always support your right to free speech, no matter what. Where we part ways on this particular endeavor is simply a matter of my having chosen a method and choosing to stick with it until the end, just as you have done.

I am no sociologist, and even if I was, society is a fickle mistress. I can't say if your goals can or cannot be achieved, or if they are or are not ill-advised. If I had to err, I would err on the side of caution, and say that this particular endeavor is perhaps ill-fated, despite believing your heart to be in the right place.

Winning the hearts and minds of the people is a lottery. Who you are, when you are born, where you live, and the social climate you happen to reside in will all effect whether or not your words will fall on deaf ears. You can speak truths that go nowhere, and you can speak lies that permeate. It's a lottery, and in 50 years playing your current hand may work perfectly well. It may, however, work better simply because in 50 years it may not even be necessary.

I would like to make one distinction about my lack of support from other peoples' lack of support: I don't care that what you are doing is "offensive", my only concern is that it may not be as effective as an alternative method. I differ in opinion from you on a purely pragmatic level. Hurt feelings are of no concern of mine.

To everyone else, thanks for watching. It is not my intention to offend people, which is why I go to lengths to choose my words carefully. But I will always support the free speech of others, even those that offend me to my very core. I feel it is my duty. I would ask that anybody who discovers variablast's channel, or his current social projects by way of this video please take the time to educate yourselves on the nature of his intent before coming to any conclusions as to the merit of his methods.

I support freedom and liberty within that freedom for all people as the right of every citizen, so I've always felt government nannystate laws as intrusive upon that freedom.

the Variablast video you responded to was the first time I actually ever felt uncomfortable about race as a progressive would.
