He freed the slaves because he was morally against slavery. The GOP was started for the expressed purpose of ending slavery. That is why the South revolted in the first place. If the South had not seceded, they could have played slavery out legally for another 40 years.

Anyway, whomever wins the democratic nomination, we should all support Clinton or Obama. We can't let Mccain win. Another 4yrs of Bushism is hell.
