OLD magic trick.

The .38 special cartridge is real but it's a trick gun. The shooter moves a lever on the gun that switches the real cartridge in the cylinder with a blank hidden in the gun's grip. When the blank is fired the magician acts as if he catches the bullet and shows a duplicate bullet in his teeth that he had in his mouth the whole time.

Sometimes the mechanism failed to switch the blank & several magicians died as a result.

Houdini refused to do it because it was too dangerous.

110% unreal. If you look closely you can see the officer "palm" the bullet. Which is why he's holding the gun upward so the bullet could slide out of the chamber. Either before or after that it was replaced with a blank and the guy had a bullet scraped by a knife to look like the bullet the host scraped in his mouth already. Cool trick tho

@djmiles099 Wow, you're very clever DJ Miles. How do you suppose he knows when the gun will fire? And how do you suppose his teeth don't shatter when "catching" the bullet, when a bullet can clearly shatter the skull? Similar questions about how he could see the bullets trajectory, why the police officer was so comfortable shooting a man in the head, etc could be asked.

The answer is that its an illusion. Try and use your brain next time.

there's something called preperation.

what he did was he bit with his teeth BEFORE the man shot the bullet, thus ENSURING that he would catch the bullet in his teeth, despite the shooter shooting the gun after the man was catching the bullet.
