Tuskegee, Alabama Mayor Omar Neal journeyed to the Republic of Benin West Africa. While there he was greeted by brothers and sisters in Cotonou, Porto-Novo, Ouidah, Abomey and Bopa. Mayor Neal described his journey as a "home-going" endeavor. In the same breathe he advocated reunification of Black Americans and Africans, as well as economic development to strengthen both people. He was accompanied by Ms. Diane Cameron. GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS FROM THESE AND OTHER AFRICAN CITIES WILL VISIT TUSKEGEE, MONTGOMERY, SELMA AND MOBILE, ALABAMA FOR JUNETEENTH CELEBRATIONS AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT VENTURES ON JUNE 18-23, 2010. Everybody from across the Nation are invited to come and CELEBRATE Juneteenth festivities with us in Tuskegee, Alabama all day on June 19, 2010.
