@summerslam1988 - FYI The HurphyDurphy SBBG is an Australian. product. Assessed over nine months by the Aust. Motor Vehicle Certification Board it underwent all requirements for sale in Aust. The "safety authorities" refd to in the news clip are Kidsafe Aust, RAC, Qld Ambulance etc. In an emergency the child is removed from the child seat, not the child seat from the car, as it is also bolted in at the back making quick release impossible.The HD is for the bkle anchoring the seat-not the child.

What "child seat authorities" would approve of this? Its a non regulated product and was not crash tested with your child's car seat. Who knows what it will actually do in a crash. Plus, what if there was an emergency? How would you get your child out quickly?
