Obama accuses Bush of forcing troops to watch Fox News

While en-route from the Middle East to Germany, where Sen. Obama will make a major political speech today, Barrack Obama commented that he saw Fox News on a lot of the televisions in our military camps. Obama continued, wondering if Fox News was being transmitted by Executive Order. In other words, Obama thinks President Bush is FORCING the troops to watch Fox News.

Let me tell you what made me come to this video. I work MI for the US army and had never thought anything about fox always being on the TV. But, one day we decided to watch CNN because we were tired of the stupid shit fox says, like "terrorist fist jab" (look it up). Anyway, ten minutes later we get a phone call from god knows who ordering us to turn it back to fox if we want to watch the news. So, I googled it and ended up here. Maybe now that obama is in office we'll only get to watch cnn...

And then what? Tap the phones of the executive producers and use their private conversations as leverage to blackmail FoxNews into airing only favorable coverage. In fact, I bet it was our torturing a Grey Alien that led to the Grey using his psychic abilities to predict that if FoxNews was aired on all WH and Military TVs, Sen. Obama would loose by 1 point in Michigan and 2 points in Pa. which hands the election to John McCain.

I am on my second tour in Iraq and I have never been forced to watch Fox News. Why would a soldier want to watch cnn or other news agencies that bash them???

This is Crap, especailly at Walter Reed, they refuse to change the channel from CNN. The military wants to watch Fox news. I have been in Iraq, and over seas, we have a choice of channels. Fox is the only news who talks good about the military

Wouldn't surprise me at all if the military naturally gravitated towards Fox News, because the channel is fiercely patriotic and it wouldn't make much sense to fight for your country if you weren't patriotic.

The problem with Fox though is that it's so one-sided and so subjective in its views, that the channel comes across as bat-shit crazy. I like my news to be as objective as possible, and Fox simply cannot deliver in that regard.
