  • I turn mine w/ a bullet.

  • @EmpathyWorks i did that at first but it bends the cartridge so i keep one for that, u liking the ruger?

  • Excellent looking rifle. I see this video was in Oct. Did you get a chance to shoot it yet? just curious if you figured out the gas adjustment yet.

  • @chanderson1 I did fire it on the day of "fun with persuader..." video, i didnt tape it but when i adjusted the regulator to "0" the gun fired only in single shot mode (pull the charging handle every shot) but it wasnt as silent as i thought (and hoped) but it was still fun to shoot! thanks for watchin man.

  • Any carrier tilt issues with your gun so far? How many rounds have you sent down range?

  • @nsw550 i have sent around 200 rnds downrange... cant really complain about any carrier tilt issues so far

  • @novarza Sorry what I meant when I said weak was the rifle itself and certain components felt cheap to me after using other platforms. There were a lot of things they could have done better on that I really just didn't like. But at the same time Ruger is still entering in the tactical market, we all have to start somewhere. There's a lot they did right, but there's a lot they did wrong too. .223 ammo is just fine for me too..... at least until the cost of 6.8 ammo goes down A LOT more!

  • @waterboy330 i would have 2 disagree w/ u... u know its a 2 staged piston w/ an adjustable gas reg so depending on wut stage u were shootin it under it would b alot smoother.. hence bein very weak... if u want a lil bit more umph in the SR try the 6.8 SPC

  • @Jeigh428 heheheh single shot? the SR isnt a revolver =P if it was a single shot that would mean u would have 2 rack it everytime u shot the 556 its a "semi auto" aka self loading =P

  • Don't mean to be offensive rugers are awesome firearms but I had the opportunity to hold this rifle and was very disappointed in the way it was. Compared to a normal Smith and Wesson M&P, a POF-415, or even my $150 airsoft gun it felt very weak.

I would advise looking at all your choices before choosing this one. =)

  • I've got the same carbine, nice gun. Did you pick an optic yet? Here's some unsolicited advice. I went with the economical aimpoint style red dot/magifier set up from Primary Arms (aprox 150$). I also upgraded to magpul (window) mags, magpul CTR stock. Buffer tube ambi-sling plate with 2/3 point generic sling, ergo covers, generic chinese made light. Good quality/durable parts for the money. So for another 400 bucks or so your good, rather than spending 500-1000 on aimpnt or eotech alone.

  • its not a clip., hence the name magpul, not clipul

  • @Jeigh428 why would it be silent?? the "0"setting just makes it a bolt action bro.

  • @EmpathyWorks All you need now is the Anti tilt buffer to stop carrier tilt... Only about $100 and for more info contact me and I can show you where you can get one made custom to fit your bolt carrier... Thanks

  • @mtsEnrique Yeah man... "We the People" Not white black brown green blue whatever... It is "We the People"... Every person in this great country has the right the duty to keep and bear arms... We need all the good guys armed... Be safe out there...
