  • When Lucy was asked if she could play the saxophone for ILL, she said "Give me a week." Her mother wanted her to be a concert pianist when she grew up. And Lucy could play the ukulele. She had amazing timing and rhythm =D

  • Very cute. Imagine Lucy faking Sarasate's famed work..with Jack looking on in amazement. Lucy's dubbing was almost perfect and Jack's expressions were priceless. God Bless them both. Thanks for sharing these marvelous entertainers on YOU TUBE.

  • Hahaha Zigeunerweisen!!!! That was funny :D

  • Lucille Ball didn't play the violin part here. She's on the wrong string for the lower notes. Ball did take some violin lessons as a kid, but she wouldn't have been capable of playing this work.

Jack Benny and Lucille Ball were next-door neighbors for a long time.

  • Today is Satuday, August 6, 2011, which is the 100th anniversary of Lucille Désirée Ball's birthday.

Born on August 6, 1911 in Jamestown, NY (a city mentioned a couple times in the 1950s series of "I Love Lucy"), the beloved Lucille Ball was the queen of television comedy most recognized for her role as Lucy Ricardo. As we enjoy these episode clips of her most famed television programs-even with Jack Benny, lets all say, especially today on the 100th birthday anniversary..Happy birthday Lucy!!

  • @Lilyonsan I'm sure she got a 60 second lesson on how to hold the bow before they started filming.

  • only someone stupid would think lucy is playing that

  • @vAIERIEHARPER121 She's not really playing that. But to someone that doesn't really play violin the faking is almost uncanny. Kudos to her.

  • 00:08 Lucy's dress matches the upholstered chair cushions. It actually looks like the same material.
