Hey guys, I'm 15 and I'm looking at this for my first shotgun. I was going to get either the 870 Express, Mossberg 500 or something like that. The more popular guns. Then I was going to get a single shot H&R Pardner for fun. The guy in the store said I'd be better off getting one of these. He loved the way it looked and said as far as he knew is far better than the previous. Its going to be a hunting/fun gun not really home defense but could i get away with it for home defense? Thanks guys!

Are rifled barrels available for this?

Awesome Gun! I've fired well over 1000 shells with it and had no problems @ all! Wish there were more accesories for it, but that's not Remingtons fault. All my buddies are looking to get one because of mine!

@skater1737 yes you can

It is balanced well, shoulders well, swings well, and absorbs a ton or recoil. I think it's a dream to shoot. Of coarse these are my opinions but I'm sure others feel the same way. It's a steal of a price for a great reliable shotgun.

I'm not understanding why people say this gun jams. Do you guys know how to properly cycle a pump shotgun? Because if you do you'll find that this firearm NEVER jams. It has aong stroke to enable the usage of 3 1/2" shells. So it needs to be cycled all the way back and then all the way foraward. It also needs to be done quickly and with steady force just like any firearm. The slow and light pumping action makes any firearm suseptable to jamming.
