  • I'm a young man in my 20's and I know that Diana Ross still has an amazing market to make the music that she loves and others will too. She don't have to compete with singers trying to make a name for themselves.! Ross is Adult Contemporary

  • i love diana!! gets me angry not to have all of her recordings!!! i would love to have this song!!

  • hi my dear diana soory losted jour adr. so i must write here please call me back

    kisses hugs jour atti.

  • WOW perfect You've made me so very happy, diana tributed to johnny Walker and captain Morgan. I daina approve this line

  • I'm in my early 80s and I have seen her live twice, and let me tell you nothin' going today can touch her for heart AND soul.

  • @Seyahhsod- i dont know if rap would be the way to go for Diana (although she has dabbled a bit in the past) but i agree it would be fun if she cut loose like Dame Shirley did when she covered "Get the Party Started".

  • @mnmcv1

Maybe Diana Needs to do a Rap Album

Revitalize and reinvent like Shirley Bassey.

I'm coming out, so you better get this party staaaaaaaaaateeeeeeeeed !

  • as for this cover, it's sweet and enjoyable, if indicative of it's time. Diana wasnt reinventing the wheel or trying to make us forget abouty Brenda Holloway's incomparable original.

Perhaps if we try to remember WHY Diana covered it (as a tribute to the songs' co-writer, Berry Gordy- it's on a tribute album comprised of his compositions), it would yield greater pleasure on it's own terms.

  • @DoshUnScripted- i think you may have meant "caricature". But honestly, Diana is past the point of chasing the charts now, or even needing to. She endured a very tough time in her life (getting arrested, having her husband die, etc.) and now she really needs to just do things on her own terms.

But she's definitely not 'forgotten'. I can't imagine Madonna being forgotten, either!

  • @scottmanduzy

She is a bit of everywhere and no where.ec

She had a hit with a remake of "I WILL SURVIVE" and then she started to become a character of herself.

She now does a lot of talk shows and intimate concerts.

Kind of should be a lessons to the youngNs that you just cant disappear and the come back thinking the public will take you back without question.

Reminds me.... that Madonna,Britanny and some others better come out with something new before forget about them.

  • @thehiphopalliance1 You do know Coolio sampled Stevie Wonder's Pastime Paradise in Gangsta's Paradise, right?

  • anybody notice the sample from gangstas paradise by coolio
