"You Gotta Believe" - Original Song by Sam & Lewis Eady Rock School Band

Sam rehearsing his first original song with Hannah (keyboard), Bianca (bass), Matteus (lead guitar) and Benji (drums). These guys have been working together as part of the Lewis Eady Rock School Band for the past couple of months. Luke (rhythm guitar) is also in the band, but he was away this night.

Sam co-wrote this song last year with two friends from school - Harrison and Alex, who are guitarists - as part of a songwriting course at school. Harrison and Alex put the music together and Sam wrote the lyrics.

We know it's a bit rough, and needs some work to tweak and polish ... but we hope you enjoy hearing Sam singing his first ever original song in the making !

They do have a lot of potential here. Getting them to smile and, basically, "have fun!" goes a long way ...and an original by Sam - fantastic. For a "rough draft" they still did really great. :)

Hi, Bronwyn, I think I'm in some pretty good company here, all of us seeing way beyond the rough edges. This is how a song is born, and the kids deserve all of the support we can give them. They ARE the next generation of music. They're the artists, the creative genius and talent we so need, and YouTube gives us the opportunity to hang out with them now, and watch them grow, and maybe even earn a few points toward free tickets to their concerts 10 years from now. :-)
