NBA Action 12.20.09

Highlights of all the NBA games except the Nuggets Grizzlies game, somehow I missed that one. All the stats are lies, and the names are mispronounced to protect the guilty.


Minnesota Timberwolves @ Boston Celtics

probably the highlight of the night. Eddie House saving it from going out of bounds behind-the-back to TONY ALLEN (not Ray, or Perkins like I originally thought) for the nasty dunk. Watch it for a second time in super fancy slo-mo.

Paul Pierce knocking down another three. He was 6-6 from beyond the arc, perfect from the line, 8 boards and 2 blocks.

Here he is snagging another rebound, starting the break. Rondo with the amazing, Magic-esque, bounce pass to Tony Allen, who dishes to Perkins for the Dunk.

And if that wasn't enough, Jesus Shuttles worth with the dagger 3 from the top of the key. It might feel good, it might sound a little something, but forget the game if it don't mean nothing.

Celtics pour it on and go on to win 122-104.



Cleveland Cavs @ Dallas Mavs (that rhymed)

somehow the mavs pull off the unspeakable sans Dirk.

Jason Terry playing big time w/ Dirk out of the lineup. Making over half his FGs, and 3's, and all his free throws. Fantasy owners love seeing that.

Nice Delonte West - Lebron James ally-oop.... they needed a few more of those.

Jason Kid knocking down the clutch 3. I didn't know Jason Kid could make 3's. Neither did Mo Williams, because he wasn't guarding him. Kid was 2-5 from behind the arc. not too shabby.

Shawn Marion "the Matrix" over Sideshow Bob Anderson Varejao in the paint with 75 seconds left putting the game out of reach for the Cavs. Lebron should have taken the blue pill.

Charlotte Bobcats @ New York Knicks

Chris Duhon handing out pounds before the game like he's running for office.

"White Dude" aka David Lee finds Duhon at the top of the key for 3. Three is worth more than 2 last time I checked. Making the cameron's go crazy.


Danilo Gallinari aka Latrell "i respect you for choking your coach" Sprewell had a nice game. A few 3's, a few blocks, a few steals. He missed two big freethrows that could have put the game out of reach, but he made up for it in the closing seconds blocking what could have been the game tying shot. Welcome to NY Gallinari.

Portland Trailblazers @ Miami Heat

D-wade purposly misses so Michael Beasly and his fancy hairdo could slam it down w/ style.

Dwyane Wade backing down Brandon Roy and fading away. Making it look easy.

But Roy would get him back. scoring 28 points and going a perfect 5-5 from behind the arc.

Lakers go up BIG. Pistons come back. To little too late. Lakers win. Phil Jackson is awesome.
