Indeed. Cruise would fuck it up COMPLETELY! and Nicolas Cage played Ghost Rider, so he couldn't do it.
Robert is the best of the options, not only because of his experience, but also experiences. Ya know?

That tank scene was really obvious cgi. But i think they rushed that specific scene a bit to make the superbowl deadline. 0:21-0:22 is the perfect example of what their cgi should look like for the rest of the movie. I'm all good with using cgi but just don't half ass it.

well the way i see it is we dodged two giant bullets. Two of the other actors who were up to play stark were nicolas cage and tom cruise. Cruise as stark would have ruined it 100%
