  • why would you take an auto maxima to a drag strip???

  • @ILikeMUUD same reason I would take a manual maxima to a drag strip???

  • thats not even a 2002 maxima thats a 2000 maxima the 2002 doesnt have smoked tails and def does better then 15.00

  • @ifuxwituz I changed the tail lights out... I dont like the clear ones. Its a 3.5 but its an auto thats why it trapped so high

  • @AguyNamedHorse maybe you can learn to spell by the time you decide to buy a prius. Then you can have the gas pedal stuck and maybe kill yourself

  • @ILikeMUUD If you know drag racing most drag racers use an auto in higher powered cars..not saying the maxima qualifies but a properly tuned c4 or 727 torque-flight will shift 10 times faster then someone with manual transmission. And to add to that you can do tire warm ups without burning down the rear brake pads by using a trans brake in the transmission. Good trap speed for the car. Hope you had fun thats all that counts...

  • @doomsday345 so look up the s/c and turbo maximas. theyre out there. just because theyre not the main cars in the fast and furious movies...

  • @pupp101 not everybody uses automatics in bracket racing. the only reason an automatic would be used is its more consistent. a lot of people use power glides and have a shift light. top fuel dragsters use and automatic because the run is done in 4 seconds. they dont have time to shift. pro stock and pro mod all use manual transmissions and those are the fastest door cars at the strip.

  • First of all...u hv to take into consideration the weight of both cars...the maxima weighs a lot more...the civic seems to also hv mods...the maxima seems stock...maxima has more stock power then the civic but we don't know what mods r on the civic...2nd of all...The vtec thing is not a turbo...so those people saying "vtec power!!"...it's not that great...if u were to driving the maxima at 60kph n u suddenly floor it...it will down shift n it will blast on u...which will destroy the Honda vtec(

  • If anybody thinks they can shift faster than an automatic transmission they are insane. That is the exact point of the automatic transmission, because people dont know the right RPM in which to change gears. redline is not always the best time in which to switch. Have you ever noticed how at every change in gears the manual car loses ground to the auto? Same thing. The launch in a manual is surely better and its a more pure driving experience. Thats it. not faster

  • autos are better for nos and turbos in autos dont have to wait for it to spool back up after switching gears it stays spooled through the whole pull and all gears

  • the civic rear bumper came apart at 0:10!! lol

  • @ILikeMUUD Ok lets take two cars. Same car, same WHP, same weight, only difference is the transmission. One has an auto the other has a manuel. I guarantee the auto will win every time because there is no one to shift a manuel as fast as an auto. Thats why they use autos in bracket drag racing, top fuel dragsters, and hell even in Lambo's, Ferrari's, and Maserati's they use automatics. You obviously don't know shit about drag racing.

  • @stayunique91 No they are not....Autos are for females and people who cant drive...

  • @ILikeMUUD Autos are faster.
