  • Just found this collection of videos - thanks for posting - I was at this gig and the day before/after(?) - great time had by all. Very under-rated group, brilliant songwriter.

  • Best Magnum Song.

  • Awesome!

  • @TheMinerva82 That it is dude, that it is.

  • @Kaldhore Glad to see you and old KIRSTENTHEGOTH are enjoying being inspired into a fantastic tangent (which, incidentally is totally relevant, I know). Just goes to show what masterpieces like this invoke in people. A great track in my humble opinion. By the way, I am now officially 'too old to die young'! But never to big to cry! All the best you guys wherever you are from Terry(N Ireland)

  • This song pushes the envelope of genius songwriting. A big shiny diamond in Magnums back catalogue

  • @kirstenthegoth but actually the lack of immediate evidence of which war (apart from a mention of the maginot line) (we'll be home by christmas is a typical peotic line from many 1st world war writers) you could say the writers of the song were either just writing about war or not versed in the history. You decide.

  • @kirstenthegoth Yes I know that, never said different. The French wanted the allied forces to let the germans advance to the maginot line, while the British wanted to move forward and meet them. Cant blame the french for wanting a secure defense but ultimately it made no difference.

  • @Kaldhore The Maginot Line was constructed After World War 1. This song is therefore about World War 2, in which, incidentally, the Germans simply outflanked The Maginot fortifications.

  • Magnum are one of the most underrated rock bands that ever rocked. Deserved far more commercial accolade than they received, still I'm sure they have made a good living from the business and are happy. Magnum, you are effin the best and your contribution to rock will go down as one of the best.. Keep doing what you are doing cos you are just amazing....

  • this song is just EPIC! no other word for it...
