@killerb123 Pretty much the past two years for solos he's just been using delay and the whammy. It became his favorite effects. He added the whammy to give it more of a high end so that the solo's shine through the mix. He said that he likes to keep things simple so the main things were just whammy, delay and distortion.

What Josh did on the solo was used the Octave up on a Digitech Whammy, and Boss DD-20 delay put at 85% for delay volume and tapped the delay to the tempo of the song and used his marshall head for the distortion not so much the fuzz. I watched him do it. It's pretty easy but really sweet solo.
