nice performance by this excellent soprano, this cycle of 6 songs composed by Berlioz after some poems by Gautier are really splendid

I like her interpretation of the six songs very much. But why she uses never portamento? Berlioz and Gautier lived in the high romantic.....Maybe some singers are afraid for portamento (too sentimental) but when they use it in the same way as - for example - Régine Crespin it's functionel and very beautiful. A little sentiment by these lyrics is not bad.....

The pianist is also accompagne accurate and delicate this beautiful song.
