@UAEchemist2 Ya i know all about the dynamites, yes the original dynamites were nitro and diatomacious earth. But i've read that they just use sticks of ANFO in place of the original dynamite because it's way cheaper and a lot safer to use. I was thinkin just buy 20#'s of tannerite, use the 20#'s of AN, mix them with diesel and then press them into sticks. Thanks for the info.

AN can't make Dynamite, Dynamite is made out of Nitroglycerin and Diamacious earth, unless you want to make blasting gelatin. But if you are looking for ANFO, then that can be your secondary explosive. For a primary explosive, the best i have used was Lead Azide, but getting that chemical is almost impossible, since it is military. AP is not as sensitive as you think, but care should still be taken, if you want a cheap and more stable explosive then use HMTD.

@UAEchemist2 ya i just let mine sit for a day in a vial and the water settled on the top by the end of the day, then it was some mean shit!! Oh and just fyi a black cat will set it off lol. I used a sparkler and tied the black cat to it and it was about as loud as a lightning strike (15ml) But i don't really like the fuming acid's there a mess, its just fun for an experiment but i like AN for dynamite sticks. Any suggestions for a safe cap for AN? Ive been told AP is to dangerous but i dont know

You should remove the water from your Nitroglycerin if you want it to behave the way it should as an explosive. Leave it for a week opened in a shed or a closed area until all the water evaporates or if you have a dessicator, put it in one and use silica gel, it should take a few hours depending on how much water and nitroglycerin are mixed, and by the way that is too much Nitroglycerin to be making at one time, try the 250 ml method of Nitric and sulfuric, don't over synthesis it at one time
