Scandal my border collie puppy playing, a bit of obedience training, and some more playing, at 4 months old. I keep trying to vid her wild moments, but soon as I get the cam out she goes into less crazy mode. Must get a new camera soon, this one is breaking and the pic quality is badddd!

  • All of these were taught with nothing, simply a pet reward and a happy "good boy!". Used treats in very very beginning but stopped using them after about 2 weeks. I used a toy for some of the tricks just to get him exciting about doing whatever it was. Sorry, just obedience with dogs is a pet peeve sometimes. lol

  • And he does not move after doing any trick or stop doin it until I say "ok". That is my release, not "good boy". Good boy is used to encourage him or after he has completed it. He also knows (for vehicles of any kind) load up, floorboard, seat, front, and back. He also knows over means jump for agility and loves the see-saw. Will even do it by himself.

  • I have a border collie pup a few days over 4 months old right now. And he does all his tricks without food or a toy at all. Just simple to please. So I am not just pulling this out of no where. Ive taught him everything he knows. He sits, lays down, stays, and backs all through command or hand signal. He will also stand from down, sit from down, stop, tag my hand, turn left, turn right (turns from hand signals also, even knows which direction)

  • I don't mean to stir anything up, but in my opinion that dog isnt goind any obedience. She was following food. That was pretty much all I saw. If it were me, I would either do it with a toy or nothing. Or if you do use food, at least hesitate to make sure she is doing it to listen to you and not just to get a treat. Or teach her "easy" or "wait" first. Otherwise, that time you need her to listen most(and you most likely do not have a treat) she isnt going to listen because of it.

  • Que bonito !!

  • She is so adorable! Her legs and her tail are SO long!

  • Ahh to have a puppy.. sigh
