I am a computer hardware expert & I figured given the balance of risks it was better for me to break the tools out than send it to Sony for $179 ($150 + shipping) only to have a warranty that would last 3 months (I have an opinion on what would happen after 3 months ;)).

Also, to be clear I am not mad at Sony, I LOVE Them & have lots of friends that work there. This was 1st gen tech (bc I GOTTA have the best/newest) and nothing last forever, esp the way I used that PS3 (read ALL THE TIME!!). So, it's all good. The new slims are much better made all in all (less power used, less, heat, more reliable, etc.).

lol my ps3 broke 2 months ago i got my game out (madden 12) but i haven't got it to work again :/

u can get ur game back with out open ur ps3 turn all power off an the hold eject button for like 15 sec then hit power switch while holding eject

guys so does this work with a blow dryer? 20 bucks amazon for heat gun but i just got a job and havent received my check. Well i spent some money on an ecig (Joy Ego-T) and a computer fan! so does this work. check out my page i play music and have a website. PEECE

@fawfulhaschortles yeah. i used to smoke cigs in my room and (mmj). I moved and had to move my computer to another house because i got kicked out of my old house. Well one day I was at my aunts from moving in to her house. checking my gmail and i smeel burnt plastic. Hey are you cooking in here? No. Me: It smells like burnt plastic! My motherboard caught on fire. every time i reset and booted poof again. All stock models suck as*! build your onw. got a new mobo and got a fan!
