Crystalens 5-0 - implant Video

The Crystalens 5-0 is an advance on the earlier AT 45 Crystalens. This implant has attracted considerable interest in the US and currently Centre for Sight is one of very few European sites (April 2008) implanting the device. The implant is the only Accommodative lens approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and uses the eye's natural focusing muscles to accomplish vision at all distances. Bausch and Lomb, the makers of eye products from contact lenses to Lasers for corrective eye surgery and the Stellaris cataract platform, realising the potential of the implant, recently acquired the company Eyeonics. I had this done recently, it does not hurt, recovery was short and uneventful, I now have 20/25 in both eyes, the key to this is the quality of the surgeon, fortunately I chose well and am very thankful for my renewed vision. If you are considering this surgery, ask your surgeon to see his list of patient outcomes because this can go well or poorly depending on the skill of the surgeon.

I had this crystal lens implant a few years ago and my life has been an absolute nightmare since. I had an irresponsible surgeon in Baltimore do the procedure and have regreted ever having her touch me. She was more interested in her own facelift staples than she was in my eyes. She was a pathetic looser and a money hungry quack. She spent so much money flying in decorators for her 'Hollywood' style office that she ended up closing the 'Palace' because she couldn't pay the light bill.
